Peru is mellow bodied with a light floral acidity and a crisp clean finish. This is rich coffee with a great aroma and has a medium to heavy body that is bright and crisp.
This coffee is sourced from family owned farms organized around the Asociación de Productores Palto Café Amazonas (Palto), which was established in 2011 to support coffee producers in the region of Amazonas, Peru. Palto provides training and financial resources aimed at improving quality and yields to increase farmer incomes. Palto is currently working to improve sustainable farm management by promoting coffee cultivation under native shade trees. Palto is also building a centralized mill to ensure consistent drying and improved coffee processing.
